So & So

LA based So & So is a band of five members, one of which was on American Idol. Perhaps if a listener enjoyed the sound of American Idol they could appreciate this album’s effort. For me this poppy slightly twang-y group falls flat. The sound could be compared to Lady Antebellum. The sound is full but the lyrics lack depth and interest and the vocals can be pleasant but they tend to run away with themselves. The slower tracks like “Broke 2.0” and “City Life” offer moments of pretty harmonizing. Oddly this album imports itself as a genre “jazz” when it could be nothing further than jazz. Overall, the album is not worth a listen. That is at least my opinion.
