Canadian trio Drangonette rose to fame with their single “Hello” off of “Fixin’ to Thrill” and follow up that success with their third studio album Bodyparts. The whole album sounds like a dance party, mostly in a good way. The album sets off with “Run, Run, Run,” one of the albums more subdued tracks that still manages to be endlessly catchy. In the latter half of the record, Dragonette gets more into the sound their known for with sexual lyrics and heavy pop synthesized beats on tracks like “Right Women” and “My Legs.” With a sound similar to Marina + The Diamonds and a solo Gwen Stefani, I would not be surprised if you heard a Dragonette song the next time you’re out on Sixth Street.
